All New Season - Sundays from 9 April at 8:30pm AEST/NZ
Season 2 of Killing Fields returns to the small community of Iberville Parish, Louisiana, where detectives Rodie Sanchez, Aubrey St Angelo and their team continue their investigation into the infamous 1997 homicide of former Louisiana State University student Eugenie Boisfontaine. To this day, the murder remains unsolved and Rodie is more determined than ever to close the case, which has haunted him for nearly two decades.
But that isn't the only case that catches their attention. The Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office investigates another terrifying case after evidence surfaces in a nearby Parish of a body stuffed inside a barrel. Rodie believes that this is tied to an unsolved disappearance he worked 26 years ago. Even more compelling - the facts surrounding the barrel are eerily similar to what the prime suspect once admitted in a separate investigation for that missing person's case. However even with such information, Rodie could never lock him up because the body could not be found… Perhaps until now.
Rodie and the team work tirelessly to secure crucial evidence, uncover facts, and pursue new leads - all with one mission in mind: closing both these cases and bringing justice to the victims' families. With advancements in forensic technology, the team gets closer to capturing the truth. Will Rodie be able to keep good on his word? Double episodes premiering each Sunday.
It's all or nothing and everything is on the line in an all new season of Gold Rush.
